The concept for e-cruzers began in the summer of 2006 when company founder Russell G. Rankin began testing a bay-to-beach shuttle service, in Ocean City, MD, using a single GEM 4-passenger electric cart. The vehicle was on loan from CleanCities.com located in Baltimore, MD, which is owned by RussellÕs nephew, Dan Macdonald. Working weekends only, on different streets every weekend, the response was the same everywhere, Tremendous!! Russell then developed the business model, formulated a plan and received final approval for the business venture in Ocean City, MD from the Mayor & City Council in February of 2007.

e-cruzers, LLC is a Christian-owned company and strives to treat customers, employees and business partners the way they want to be treated themselves. We also aim to be good corporate citizens by providing an environmentally friendly ÒGreenÓ transportation service that can ultimately help reduce the emissions and improve the air quality in the resort town we call home, Ocean City, MD. Our service is a "Clean Air" program
